Don’t have a website? Get a Squidoo instead

Squidoo is an affiliate marketers best friend and just about the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. You create a ‘lens’ which is pretty much your own website where you can then add widgets and all sorts of things to customize your page. The really great thing is that you could create your own ‘mini-homepage’ for an affiliate product and treat it like your own website. Confused? Read on and see what I’m talking about.

Sign up and you can immediately create your first ‘lense’. From here on you can customize it to how ever you want including if you’d like to donate to charity or not. Super cool stuff.

Next, you’re able to add little widgets to your lens which act like mini apps. These make it really easy to share your content and personalize it all at the same time. I really liked the Youtube feature where I was able to embed the Ultimate Affiliate System intro.

If you’re promoting an affiliate product make sure you center the lens around that and include your link several times spread out over the content. You want to make sure your links are easily accessible.

Basically, you’re done after that. All that’s left to do is promote the page. Post it on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and Linkedin. Write articles about your niche and include the link to your page at the bottom or post on discussion forums and have the link in your signature.
