Top 10 Wordpress plugins
I love Wordpress, it’s the best blogging system out there. Period.
Now, it’s good on it’s own but if you’re serious about blogging you need to modify it to make it even better. Installing plugins and themes are one of the most important things you need to do before you even start blogging. To be able to do that you need to host your blog somewhere like HostGator. For as low as $4.95 per month for unlimited hosting and bandwidth it’s a hell of a deal. Once you’ve done that you’ll have FTP access to your site and you can then upload themes and plugins.
Here’s my Top 10 list of Wordpress Plugins:
10. Threaded Comments
When you have individual conversations in your blog comments it can often end up in a mess of random conversations. To solve this problem get Brian’s Threaded Comments plugin which places a ‘reply’ button beside each comment. Instead of the person replying with their comment all the way at the bottom they can choose to reply and get their comment right under the comment they were replying to.
9. Subscribe to Comments
By installing this plugin you’ll give your readers the option to subscribe to any replies to their comment. Great to encourage more comments from your readers. Check it out here.
8. Sociable
In today’s interconnected world your content needs to be able to be shared otherwise it’s useless. This plugin allows your readers to share and bookmark your post or page. Great for SEO and more free traffic. Get it here.
7. Tweet This
Tweet This is another super great plugin that allows your readers to automatically tweet your post to the millions on Twitter. I highly recommend this one because it actually works unlike some other Twitter plugins.
6. Twitter Widget Pro
Letting your readers know that you’re on Twitter is one of the best things you can do because they will automatically generate an interest in you as well as following you on Twitter. Check it out here.
